Dear YMCA Golf Outing Participant,
We have appreciated your past support of our Pringles Putting with the YMCA Annual Golf Tournament which benefits our youth scholarship campaign in our YMCA communities. Thousands of dollars have been generated over the years through this golf tournament allowing economically disadvantaged youth to participate in YMCA programs and membership opportunities at the Jackson YMCA. We do value your commitment to the YMCA through your attendance at this event.
We have some big news about this year’s 2010 P & G sponsored golf event and wanted to alert you early enough to plan accordingly. With the support of our major sponsor and encouragement by our YMCA Board of Directors, we have decided to move this year’s YMCA event to the Jackson Country Club, and the change of date to Monday September 20, 2010 to accommodate cooler playing temperatures and fewer competing charity tournaments at that time of the year. Please save the new date on your calendar, as we would again enjoy your participation in the YMCA Tournament.
Many of you already know from your local golf experience that the Jackson Country Club is the premier golf facility in West Tennessee and limits its usage to only JCC members/guests, or through participation in nonprofit fund raising golf tournaments like the one we will be hosting. The YMCA believes by elevating the quality of the golf course within a reasonable price point to our traditional registration fees, and offering the full amenities that the Country Club offers to our participating golfers, we may be able to expand the size of the tournament that ultimately benefits the scholarship campaign. The Jackson Country Club can provide higher quality food as part of the event package, and we expect that the YMCA Golf Outing will maintain the quick “tournament pace” that the event has historically delivered in comparison to other tournaments in the area.
Golf teams pre-registering for the September event prior to June 1st will be eligible for a discount at the rate of $500/team, a savings of $100 off of the regular $600 team rate after that date. The official Pringles Putting with the YMCA registration materials will be mailed to you or a member of your foursome shortly. Please mark the September date now. This is an exciting improvement on our historic YMCA outing and, as always, we appreciate your support of our charitable mission in your community by your participation. Thank you.
